  1. How much time does it take on the day registery is to be done ? And what is the process once we go to the SDM Court ? Ans: it will merely take 3-4 hours, try to reach early there, as you have to sign a lot of papers and take an appointment at SDM office for completing  final obligations. Try to reach early to the Lawyer's Office (Gardenia Lawyer) preferable at 9:30 AM. ( Plz call him first before leaving)
  2. I have paid stamp duty charges (as DD) and legal charges to builder - Other than that we do not need to pay anything on the day of registery - right ? Ans: No there is no need to pay anything to anyone , though the clerk at SDM office will ask for Chai Paani once your registry gets done ( I had given Rs. 100, its totally your call)
  3. Also, once the registery is done, do we get the original registery documents in case we have taken a bank loan ? And who is supposed to submit them to the bank - the builder or us ? In case it is the builder, does he give an acknowledgement that he has received the original documents from us ? Ans: You will get the photocopy of the Sale Deed / Registry from the Builder after seven days from the date of registry. Builder will send the original copy to your Bank.

Hi all,
Just wanted to confirm a few things about registry process. Am getting it done through the builder only..

  1. How much time does it take on the day registery is to be done ? And what is the process once we go to the SDM Court ?
  2. I have paid stamp duty charges (as DD) and legal charges to builder - Other than that we do not need to pay anything on the day of registery - right ?
  3. Also, once the registery is done, do we get the original registery documents in case we have taken a bank loan ? And who is supposed to submit them to the bank - the builder or us ? In case it is the builder, does he give an acknowledgement that he has received the original documents from us ?

Would appreciate if someone could reply to these on an urgent basis...
