[panchsheel_wellington] WORLD LAUGHTER'S DAY: BENEFITS OF SMILING / LAUGHING



Today is World Laughing Day. This comes on the 1st Friday of October every year. This started some how around 1963 by a Cartoonist and with the cartoon picture of laughter. 
It is being celebrated since 1999 throughout the world. This year it is on October 4. Friends only human know laughing. In other words other animals do not laugh, except so called laughter of horses. Even animals like dogs greets with barking when they see a new entrant around them. So any person when meeting another person doesn't smile or laugh and sometimes puts his eyebrows off is compared to a dog.
 
Major benefits of Smiling / Laughing;-----------

1. Smiling makes us attractive.
People will look forward to being around you, knowing only that they feel great around you.
2. Smiling changes our mood.
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.
3. Smiling is contagious
When someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the mood of the others and make things happier.
4. Smiling relieves stress
When you are stressed take time to put on a smile. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired and worn down.
5. Smiling boost your immune system
When you smile, immune function improves, because you are more relaxed, this will prevent you from suffering from diseases like flu and common cold.
6. Smiling lowers you blood pressure
When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure which is very good for persons suffering from high blood pressure
7. Smiling releases Endorphin, natural pain killers and Serotonin.
Together these three make us feel good. So smiling is a natural drug.
8. Smiling lift the face and makes you look younger and avoid wrinkles.
When we frown we use 60 muscles of face, so in the process wrinkles come up in the face, skin become tougher and there are dark spots here and there. When we smile we only use 16 muscles which lift the face, making a person appear younger.
9. Smiling makes you seem successful.
Smiling people appear more confident, more likely to be approached and more likely to be promoted.
10. Smiling makes you to stay positive
Try this tests; SMILE. 
Now you thing something negative without loosing the smile, it is very hard. When we smile body is sending the message "life is good". Stay away from stress and worry and simply smile. This is panacea for all.
