[ParamountGroup] Service Tax

 

Hi All, Need ur help to know about the Service Tax imposed from 1st July 2010. As now after 2years PS is asking to pay the service tax. I signed the allotment letter on 1st May 2010 ....then got the Demand letter on 26th June 2010 for balance payment ( they didn't mention anything about the service tax which is just 4-5 days before the 1st July 2010).... & after a month I paid the 85% amount on 2nd Aug 2010.  Now after 2 years they r deducting the service tax from the paid amount mentioned in possession letter. Before possession letter they never intimate any thing about the service tax. Would like to know is this legally right. Rgds Rajat Gupta
